Manchester United given boost over Bayern Munich’s Renato Sanches and more transfer News

Man Utd transfer gossip round up has the latest on Jose Mourinho’s pursuit for a midfielder and a former red returning to the Premier League.

Manchester United have been given a boost in their pursuit of Bayern Munich midfielder Renato Sanches.

Jose Mourinho has been linked with making a move for the 19-year-old after missing out on signing him last summer.

Reports in in The Sun recently said Mourinho was close to securing a one year loan deal for the 19-year-old.

The Portuguese international had a tough debut campaign in the Bundesliga and Bayern chief executive Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has hinted a move could be possible this summer.

Mourinho’s pursuit of the midfielder has been given another boost after Bayern boss Carlo Ancelotti has now confirmed the possibility that Sanches could leave this summer.

Asked about United’s interest in Sanches Ancelotti replied: “At this time, he’s training with us. We have to make a decision.

“A move could be a possibility but there is also a chance he could stay with us for the season.”

United have also been linked with a move for midfielder Arturo Vidal after he admitted last year that he had been close to joining United.

But, Ancelotti put an end to any chance of the Chilean joining United this summer.

He said: “For Vidal, there is no way. He’s our player and I have a lot of confidence in him.

“I know there are rumours and we’re used to rumours. He’ll stay with us 100 per cent – I’m confident about that.”

In other United related transfer news former red Javier Hernandez has signed for West Ham.

The 29-year-old has signed a three year deal with the Hammers and could make his debut for his new club against United on the opening weekend of the season when Slaven Bilic’s side travel to Old Trafford.
